From the moment you step onboard, you can feel that the history and character of the boat is deeply entwined with the river itself. Refurbished in 2012 and with a new engine in 2015, ‘Pure Carma’ offers tranquil and stress-free boating on the beautiful River Thames – and all just a stones throw from London.
She’s a popular choice for lazy summer evenings / weekends and with a good heater onboard she is also ideal for autumn and winter days when a windy Solent may seem too much like hard work. Favourite itineraries include the culinary delights at Bray and Henley Regatta in July.
Pure Carma is part of our boat share fleet based in Windsor.
Walk around side access decks make for an easy day on the water, whilst the large aft deck with helm station provides plenty of space for lounging in the deck chairs.
Down below, Pure Carma offers a spacious layout with a good sized double cabin and heads aft. The main saloon with a second helm position, offers plenty of space and seating. Forwards, the galley sits to port with a second seating and dining area to starboard, which also converts to a double berth. In the bow there is also a twin berth.
Pure Carma’s solid steel hull carries good momentum when underway allowing her to glide effortlessly down the river. On the Thames, where speed is always low, there is little steerage when the propeller is not turning. Similar to most motorboats, she requires propwash for effective turning.
A bow thruster adds extra manouverability at close quarters or when going astern.
Pure Carma is certified under the environment agency’s boat safety scheme for use on the non-tidal Thames. She carries an inventory of safety equipment including lifejackets, life ring, fire extinguishers and first aid kit..
Additional systems include: Bowthruster, webasto heating, microwave, mooring stakes and more….
