About us.

Pure Latitude was founded by Martin Gray in Hamble as a better alternative to owning your own boat. Since then, the club has grown in size and scope.

Today, members have access to a quality fleet of sail and motor boats, a wide range of training options, and a full events calendar.

The club has two main bases in Hamble and Lymington, and additional locations in Plymouth and Windsor.

Sharing knowledge and support.

Pure Latitude was founded for pragmatic reasons. Sharing a fleet of well-maintained boats offers much more flexibility, choice and value than owning one boat.

However, we quickly realised that Pure Latitude offers a lot more than ‘just’ a superb fleet of boats. As a member, you’ll share in the wealth of camaraderie, knowledge and support that is part of club life.

Flexibility and fair access for all members.

From the outset, Pure Latitude has been about building a club and sharing model that works for everyone.

Fast forward through 15 years of growth and the core principles of Pure Latitude remain: flexibility, availability, support and community.

What our members say.

“Market leaders in this field. First rate service all round. The choice within the fleet is excellent and the boats are all of a new, clean, well maintained, high standard. The booking process is simple and allows you to work around the best times for you. Can’t recommend them highly enough.”

@ Lisa J

“Yacht availability is excellent, even in the busy month of August. There is a good variety of both sailing and motor yachts – in various locations which allows you to explore different parts of the coast. The company has a very customer focused culture and are always on hand to give helpful advise.”

@ Philip G

“Pure Latitude is more like a family than a club. I would never dream of having access to such an amazing fleet of boats, from power boats to sailing boats. It doesn’t stop there though as there is organised training to improve your skills plus social and racing events organised by the team..”

A trip to magical Sark

“We had set off from Hamble on a beautiful evening with calm seas and light winds initially. An expectant excitement was noticeable amongst the crew before we hoisted the sails and settled into our rhythm.”
