This event is the perfect training experience for those looking to refine their boat handling and navigation, building the skills and knowledge required to safely operate faster craft with high levels of precision. Spend the afternoon focusing on boat handling and close quarters manoeuvres before creating a detailed passage plan to explore the Solent by night.
The evening passage will focus on preparation and pilotage techniques, incorporating a harbour entrance as well as navigating to an unlit mark. Honing your pilotage skills after dark will transfer into better planning for daytime cruising creating a sound platform to work towards Advanced and Yachtmaster™ qualifications.
Event prerequisites: Members should be current Axopar users and hold either day skipper motor, or day skipper sail plus powerboat level 2.
