Build Your Membership

1. Choose a monthly subscription.

Select the plan according to the number of boats you wish to use.

Memberships require a minimum 12 month commitment.

2. Add usage points.

Our online booking system uses an internal ‘points’ currency that you spend on booking boats. Bigger boats, weekends and high season all cost more points. Choose the points plan that suits you best.

Usage & points

How much boating does my usage bundle provide?

The minimum usage bundle is 500 points which typically equates to 15-20 days boating. Point usage rates depend on boat size, season, and time of day.
Calculate your point usage.

How long do I have to use my points?

Points never expire as long as you maintain an active monthly membership plan. Use them at your own pace and when you run out you can simply buy more.

Can I spread the payments for my usage bundle?

Most members choose to pay for their 500 point usage bundle with a single advance payment of £5000. If you wish to spread the payment, we request 6 monthly payments of £900/m.

Bookings

When I book a boat, how long is it available to me for?

We operate a day slot (08.00 – 18.00) and an evening/night slot (18.00 – 08.00). You can book up to a maximum of 15 consecutive slots so overnight stays and multi day trips are a popular choice with our members.

How do you manage availability at peak times?

We manage seasonal demand via the seasonal pricing in our points system. In addition, we also operate a “fair use” policy that limits member spend to no more than half of their points in July and August.

Membership

What is the contract commitment?

Monthly membership plans have a minimum term of 12 months, after which they roll on a monthly basis with 3 months notice.

Can I share my membership?

Yes, you can share points with another active member. Both must hold individual monthly membership plans.

Am I insured?

Yes, all boats are insured for accidental damage. Members are liable for repair costs up to a maximum of £2500.

Training & assessment

What qualifications or experience do i need?

Qualifications are a useful indicator of proficiency and our members have a wide range of experience levels and hold a variety of formal qualifications. For insurance purposes, we require you to demonstrate good competence to skipper the boats you wish to use via a practical assessment.

Do you offer training?

Yes, and it’s a very popular service. Booking an instructor to help you improve specific key skills, complete an RYA training course, upskill on a new boat type, or get you and your crew working efficiently together can really help your boating become more enjoyable. Instructors are charged at £310 per day.
