The Round the Island Race is one of the world’s largest and most iconic yacht races. With thousands of sailors taking part, the atmosphere is electric, a mix of competition, teamwork, and sheer spectacle. If you’re looking for an exhilarating, competitive race, a huge sense of achievement, and a lasting memory, this is the one. Everyone should experience it at least once!
The Race
Our Racers Boat is the X-Yacht 37 Pure Attitude, a performance-oriented yacht competing under IRC with high-tech laminate sails. This is the boat to join if you’re a keen racer or want to experience the cut and thrust of true race conditions.
The itinerary (subject to change)
Friday – Meet your race skipper and crew at 09:00 in Hamble for a full day of training, focusing on teamwork and optimising boat speed. Return to Port Hamble in the evening for a crew debrief and dinner ashore.
Saturday – Race Day – Expect an early start and around 8–9 hours of racing around the Isle of Wight before returning to Hamble for departure.
Accommodation
Staying overnight in Hamble.
Please stay onshore and we highly advise booking early. We have very limited space on board so if required, please discuss with the PL team.
