Getting started
*
Which do you feel is the most appropriate way to get started on the water?
Competence assessment (Suitable for experienced tidal skippers)
Training (Ideal if you feel rusty, lack tidal experience or are new to boating)
Club event (A great way to just get on the water)
NOTE
: Experienced tidal skippers normally self-induct by reading our base and generic boat guides before looking over a boat with the relevant boat specific guide. Our instructor will then join you onboard for a competence assessment.
NOTE
: The extent of training required will depend on both experience and goals and will include RYA training courses where already agreed.
NOTE
: No competence assessment or training is required. Simply book an event day and go boating with a PL skipper onboard.
