Sail Training: Safety at Sea
October 29 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
When was the last time you practiced MOB? Does your crew have the skills to recover you from the water? Would you and your crew benefit from refreshing your knowledge of safety equipment and best practices? If you feel extra training would be beneficial in any of these areas we recommend joining our safety at sea day under the expert guidance of an RYA instructor. For new and more experienced skippers alike, this is an opportunity to brush up and practice your knowledge of key skills which need to be fresh every time you set sail.
The day will include a recap of Safety equipment and procedures including:
-man overboard under engine
-man overboard under sail
-flares and use of flares
-sounds and signals
-VHF procedures including reminder of DSC operations (Mayday-Panpan-Sécurité).
This event is primarily aimed at couples, crews and/or families with children
Price: 15 points or £195 per person (max 5 students)
