The water is clear, the summers are hot and the food is stunning. For the 2018 season, our X-yacht 46 ‘Impulse’ will be based in Portisco marina, Sardinia.
Sardinia’s strong summer winds and narrow tidal range make it a fantastic sailing destination. The craggy Sardinian coastline provides dozens of natural inlets, secluded beaches and private anchorages where you can forget your troubles, drop anchor for the day and swim the warm, inviting waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
In addition to ‘bareboat’ member bookings, ‘Impulse’ will also be embarking on some fantastic cruises as well as competing in numerous Mediterranean racing regattas – both available through the Pure Latitude event programme.

Suspended between Sardinia and Corsica, this scatter of seven large islands and 55 tiny isolotti has some of the most spectacular beaches in Italy, and some of the cleanest and clearest water. The Maddalena’s are a quiet place of turquoise lagoons, deserted islands and the most heavenly beaches in Sardinia, with barely a footprint to spoil them.
West of Italy, north of Sardinia and southeast of the French mainland, Bonifacio is a stunning town at the southern tip of Corsica, set atop dramatic limestone cliffs. Bonifacio has both picturesque anchorages and a great natural port that offers plenty of restaurants and shops. The Strait of Bonifacio is a dream destination for sailors. Because of the nozzle effect, there is always a sailing wind with which to discover the beautiful coastline.
Situated at the water’s edge on the beautiful island of Tavolara, Sardinia, where the sea and taste for good food come together, the Re di Tavolara Restaurant offers its guests a true anthology of the best traditional Sardinian dishes. Seafood, fresh fish and an array of handmade culinary delights – Ristorante da Tonino Re chooses only the finest ingredients, because only careful selection can ensure excellence.
Ideally located on the harbour, “The Sailboat ” extends its spacious terrace at the foot of the formidable citadel, giving beautiful panoramic views over the water. Quintessentially French, the refined and inventive dishes, beautifully presented, are a delight for the eye and for the taste buds.
