DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss joining fellow club members and the Pure Latitude Team on our annual autumn trip which is usually to the Folly Inn however this year it is under refurbishment so we will be heading to the Island Sailing Club\, Cowes for lunch. \nIt’s always good to reminisce over the trips had\, the memories made and the lessons learned along with meeting new people. \nSpend an easy day on the water. Boats will be skippered so you can relax and have a fun day out. –An ideal event if you’ve recently joined us and would like to build your crewing network. \nThe day: \n– Meet by the boat at 09:30\, for departure at 10:00. \n– Sail or Motor over to the Island Sailing Club\, Cowes \n– Lunch (at your cost) \n– Sail or Motor back across to Hamble \n– Return by 4pm \nOnce booked: \nPlease email info@purelatitude.com to confirm if you would like to be on a sailing or motor boat. \nWe look forward to having many of you join us!

SUMMARY:Sailing social - West solent explorer
DESCRIPTION:An enjoyable way to explore the Western Solent whilst benefiting from the top tips and guidance of a PL instructor. This 2-day trip will visit some of the best sailing destinations on both the island and mainland sides of the Solent. \nYou’ll stay on the boat overnight\, either in Lymington or Yarmouth Marina. The itinerary will be determined by the weather forecast\, but expect to visit some of the following destinations: \nBeaulieu River \nThe beautiful unspoilt Beaulieu river owned by Lord Montague is one of the few privately owned rivers in the world. Options include dropping anchor or picking up a buoy in the tranquil river or a visit to Bucklers Hard where Nelson’s Trafalgar fleet were built. \nLymington \nFurther to the west in the New Forest is the busy Georgian town and yachting mecca of Lymington set at the top of the Lymington river estuary. \nYarmouth \nJust across the water from Lymington on the Isle of Wight is the wonderfully quirky and historic port of Yarmouth\, with its Tudor castle built by Henry VIII\, seafaring traditions and welcoming hostelries. \nNewtown Creek \nJust along the coast from Yarmouth and perfect for a lunch stop is Newtown Creek. Once a busy medieval harbour\, but now a tranquil National Trust nature reserve\, home to many species including a growing pod of seals. \nThe price is for a private double cabin (for up to 2 occupants).

This two-day cruising and training block is an ideal opportunity to build familiarity in preparation for your own future voyages and to enjoy a relaxed sail training trip under the expert guidance of a Pure Latitude instructor. \nYou’ll stay on the boat overnight in Bembridge Harbour. Bembridge Harbour is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and nearby Brading Marshes are home to the first RSPB site on the Island. The village of Bembridge offer a variety of excellent restaurants to spend the evening or alternatively\, Bembridge Sailing Club and Brading Haven Yacht Club both welcome visiting yachts men and women. \n
