DESCRIPTION:The ultimate bite sized training block! Whether you are a newly qualified day skipper or are looking to consolidate previous experience\, this intensive 2 day event is a great way to develop 3 key skill areas. \nStarting with a sail trim and reefing session\, you’ll get lots of hands on experience and benefit from the top tips and best practices from a PL instructor. As day turns to night\, you’ll work through a serious of navigational exercises before overnighting in a Solent marina away from Port Hamble (choice dependent on weather). Day 2 will focus on marina boat handling both in the morning and on return to Port Hamble\, with more sail trim and navigational work covered on the return leg to Port Hamble. \nJoin with other members and benefit from a 2:1 student-instructor ratio for a high quality training experience! \nMarina fees away from the home berth and food onboard are not included.

Practice yachtmaster level boat handling and ensure you know how\, and when to use lines to stay in control when alongside\, and while mooring and departing. \nA robust understanding of how best to use mooring lines is a good way to demonstrate your depth of experience to an examiner and we often see that a lack of practice translates to confused and incomplete crew briefs which fail to impress the examiner!\nBenefiting from a low training ratio this YM level event looks at the techniques you should have up your sleeve for the scenarios that require a different approach.
