DESCRIPTION:This one day assessment is the fastest way for experienced skippers to get on the water and demonstrate competence. You will focus on at the core skills required to safely skipper sailboats within the Pure Latitude fleet. With up to three members onboard\, you will each be asked to assume the role of skipper to demonstrate your ability and understanding of: boat checks\, safety briefings\, boat handling under both sail and motor\, and IRPCS. Please allow adequate time to prepare a passage plan for the day that should be submitted to office three days prior to the assessment date. \nBefore booking an assessment please ensure you’ve completed the Pre-Qualification form and have read our guidance on the Competence Process

DESCRIPTION:A weekend perfect for anyone wanting to gain coastal and night sailing experience\, but also for those wanting to visit some destinations a bit further afield. \nDepending on the tides and the weather forecast\, we expect to set off from Hamble on Sunday evening or Monday morning. After leaving the Solent\, we’ll head west along the Dorset coast to Dartmouth. Join our X-Yachts 37 ‘Pure Attitude’ for a training day in Dartmouth on Wednesday\, followed by four fabulous days of inshore regatta racing in picturesque South Devon. \nThe Race:\nDartmouth Royal Regatta Sailing Week is the UK’s largest sailing regatta after Cowes Week appealing to the serious racing enthusiast\, but also offering family friendly events for the novice or cruising yachtsman. \nThe itinerary (subject to change):\nWednesday-\nMeet on the boat for a day training on the water followed by Crew Dinner \nThursday – Saturday\nRacing each day – followed by Crew Dinner. \nSunday – race day followed by departure. \nAccommodation:\nWe recommend you book accommodation (early) in Dartmouth. There are limited berths available onboard and are available on a first come first serve basis.\nIf accommodation is required\, please do discuss requirements with the PL team.
