Situated in Queens Anne’s Battery in the heart of Plymouth, our base is ideally located to make the most of the superb cruising grounds the West Country has to offer. The marina offers excellent facilities including café, bar, restaurant, chandlery, provisioning facilities and the Royal Western Yacht Club.  Nearby is the superb National Marine Aquarium, the UK’s largest aquarium, and of course all the shops, restaurants and attractions of Plymouth.

Rich in historic naval history and with many lovely creeks and anchorages, Plymouth Sound and the River Tamar provide fantastic sheltered waters, ideal for families and those looking to build experience.  Outside of the Sound, although still well within easy reach, is the pretty River Yealm with the delightful villages of Newton Ferrers and Nos Mayo - perfect for a spot for lunch or delicious cream tea.

For those wishing to explore further afield, the wonderful towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth are an easy day sail to the east, offering access to the beautiful Kingsbridge Estuary and River Dart, and onwards to the delightful settings of Dittisham and Totnes.  Exploring further along the Devonshire Coast are also of course the popular destinations of Brixham and Torquay.

From Plymouth to the west lie the beautiful Fowey, Fal and Helford Rivers.  This stunning stretch of Cornish coastline offers plenty to explore and numerous delightful towns and villages, such as the pretty port of Fowey, Falmouth with its rich maritime history and not to be missed Maritime Museum, and charming villages of the Helford River, Daphne De Maurier country.  The Devon and Cornwall coastline has understandably long been a favourite amongst sailors.
